Top 10 People Orange County Tried To Vote For

As I’m sure almost everyone noticed, the 2016 U.S. elections were filled with controversy. Most Americans seemed unhappy with both the Republican and the Democratic candidates. Which might explain why there were so many election ballots spoiled this year. A vote can be spoiled in a multitude of ways; such as not selecting any candidates, selecting more than one candidate, damaging the ballot, or writing a candidates name on your ballot that isn’t an option. We’re going to focus on the last example.

A list was released of all the things people in Orange County, Florida wrote on their ballots that were not actually an option. Below is a list of the top 10 names people in Orange County tried to vote in for President that were not an option, and the amount of votes they received. Keep in mind, these people weren’t even on the ballot.

1 – Senator of Vermont Bernie Sanders  (1589 Votes)

This one should come as no surprise. There were a lot of Americans who wished Bernie Sanders had won the Democratic nomination instead of Hilary Clinton. He was truly a “fan favourite”. The people of Orange County could definitely “Feel the Bern” on election day.

2 – Evan McMullin (849 Votes)

Vote for Nobody 2016

Vote for Nobody:
Nobody will keep election promises.
Nobody will listen to your concerns
Nobody will help the poor and unemployed
Nobody cares.
NOBODY TELLS THE TRUTH!

6 – God/Jesus/Jesus Christ/The Bible/Yahweh/Jehovah (Combined for 149 Votes)

Jesus For President

Now that would be a sight to see! Imagine how much different America would be. It would be quite amusing watching the opposing party try to dig up dirt on him. What the heck, I’m convinced. I’m voting Jesus Christ for 2020!

7 – Marco Rubio (145 Votes)

Ted Cruz for president

I am genuinely surprised that the Junior Senator of Texas, Ted Cruz, fell this low on the list. Especially considering he was the second most successful Republican candidate next to Donald Trump.

Well there you have it folks. The top 10 people that Orange County wishes could take Donald Trump’s place as President elect. Maybe in 2020 they’ll get their chance to elect one of these guys.
