McDonald’s Unveils Specialty Burger, And It Looks Amazing!

McDonald’s Italy has recently released a new specialty burger and we’ve got to say, it might be the best thing we’ve ever seen. The infamous fast food kingpin is definitely no stranger to coming up with creative specialty burgers, however, all the others pale in comparison to their newest one. If there were two things this world offers that could be considered a gift from Heaven, they would have to be McDonald’s and Nutella! Which is why people are going off the deep end after the fast food chain’s Italian branch unveiled their new specialty burger on their Facebook page late last week.

McDonald's new Nutella burger

It’s called the “Sweety con Nutella” (which means Sweety with Nutella in english). For all the vegetarians out there, don’t worry it’s meatless. It’s quite simply a pastry designed to look like a burger. A layer of Nutella is baked right into the bread which gives it that classic hamburger look.  The “sandwhich” also features a creamy Nutella filling located directly in the middle of it. The tasty treat is served warm allowing the delicious hazelnut flavored filling to ooze out as customers bite in to it.

It comes as no surprise that the Sweety con Nutella burger is packed with calories, 256 of them per serving to be exact. If you’re anything like me then that number does not deter you one bit. However, if you’re not like me and you genuinely do care about eating healthy, then look on the bright side, this majestic creation contains 1.9 grams of dietary fibre! Therefore, the American Heart Association has determined that all you’ve got to do to reach your daily fibre intake goal is eat 13.2 of these Nutella infused bad boys!

As you can imagine, the internet blew up with excitement!  In less than a week, McDonald’s Italy’s Facebook post had been shared 90,000 times and received 73,000 comments! People couldn’t wait to take to social media and make their feelings on the new dessert known for all to see.

McDonald’s has released numerous other specialty burgers over the years. The McRice burger was released in the Philippines once upon a time, McLobster’s were released in Canada, Israel released a McFalafel, and in Japan there was once a Squid Ink Burger. I think it’s probably safe to say that this one will be the most popular one to date.

I know it’s hard to believe, but there is in fact some bad news attached to this annoucement. Well, I suppose it’s only bad news if you’re not Italian, because the Nutella burger has not been released any where other than Italy. If you ask me, someone needs to start a petition to have this burger released worldwide. It should be a crime to keep something this magnificent from people!
