David Holmes – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows


In January 2009 while acting as a stunt double for Daniel Radcliffe – stuntman David Holmes had an accident which left him paralyzed and forced to use a wheelchair.

Scott Mclean – The Hangover Part II


While filming a stunt for Ed Helms in “The Hangover Part II” stuntman Scott Mclean suffered critical head injuries when he was leaning out of the window of a moving vehicle and the vehicle was involved in a major collision with another stunt car.  He received a gash on the right side of his head and flesh was torn from his skull.  Mclean later sued Warner Bros.

Gabriela Cedillo – Transformers: Dark Side of The Moon


In September 2010 while filming for Transformers 3, stuntwoman Gabriela Cedillo was driving a stunt vehicle when a cable snapped and smashed through the window of the car she was driving.  Due to this incident, Gabriela suffered damage that cannot be reversed.  She has since been awarded an 18.5-million-dollar settlement.

Jeremy Fitzgerald – The Avengers


In 2011 Jeremy Fitzgerald lost a part of his scalp while performing stunts for “The Avengers” Jeremy Fitzgerald caught his foot while falling 30-feet for a stunt which caused his head to hit the bricks of the building he was falling from.  He told TMZ it could be worse as he narrowly missed a rain gutter.

Leonardo DiCaprio – Django Unchained


While filming one of the most memorable scenes from the FANTASTIC movie Django Unchained, Leonardo DiCaprio unintentionally broke a glass while slamming his hand on a table.  This caused a fair amount of blood (seen pictured) but Leo never broke character.  The scene in the movie is the scene in which he cut his hand.

Paul Walker – Fast and Furious 6


While filming stunts for the “Fast and Furious 6” movie Paul Walker sustained an ACL injury which caused a slight delay in filming to repair.

Robert Downey Jr. – Ironman 3


While filming a stunt for Ironman 3 – star Robert Downey Jr suffered an ankle injury that caused a delay in production of the film.

Harrison Ford – Star Wars: The Force Awakens


During the filming of Star Wars: The Force Awakens – a metal hydraulic door fell on Harrison Ford breaking his leg.   Director JJ Abrams also suffered a back injury when trying to assist in getting the door off of him.  The injury to Harrison Ford delayed filming for two weeks. 

Conway Wickliffe – Batman: The Dark Knight


While leaning out the window operating a camera while filming The Dark Knight – cameraman Conway Wickliffe was tragically killed when the car hit a tree travelling at 20mph.  The father of two from New Zealand suffered severe injuries and died on the scene.

Hillary Swank – P.S. I Love You


While filming a scene in “PS I Love You” Hillary Swank was receiving a striptease from co-star Gerard Butler when his suspenders snagged causing them to hit Hillary in the forehead.  The injury was bad enough to require stitches…but a striptease from Gerard Butler, worth it. Right ladies?

Brad Pitt – Troy


In 2004 while filming the movie “Troy” – Brad Pitt, playing the role of Achilles landed awkwardly and actually tore his Achilles tendon.  This injury halted production for about 10 weeks…but the irony still lives on.

Tom Hanks – Cast Away


While filming Castaway – Tom Hanks had a cut on his leg that became infected.  This infection turned out to be a Staph infection that was dangerously close to entering his blood stream and possibly killing him.
